Terms and Conditions for Hire in 2026*
The Hall is in continuous use by Subud Canberra for their worship practice and kept in a clean and tidy state. The space is appropriate for meditation, exercise, yoga and related groups, as well as for workshops, seminars and other meetings.
Our terms and Conditions include:
• Alcohol is not to be consumed on the premises;
• Hall hire times include all set up, pack up and cleaning times;
• The Hall is not available for weddings and parties;
• A cleaning fee is charged if the floor has to be mopped, or extra cleaning needs to be completed and the rooms aired after your function.
• Cancellation of a booking must be made one week prior to your function or a cancellation fee may be charged.
• The Subud Meeting Centre has Public Liability Insurance (PLI) cover, however, hirers may be required to carry their own PLI to cover their use of the Centre.

ABOUT US
The Subud group in Canberra has been in existence for over 50 years. About ten years ago through the Grace of God and hard work we acquired our own property – a community hall in Kambah. This is where we practise the latihan, Subud's unique form of worship. We also rent the Hall to community groups for exercise classes, seminars, meetings, yoga and meditation groups.
Subud is an association of people who practise a spiritual exercise called the latihan and is a way for people to discover and develop their inner self. Subud is open to all, regardless of religion, beliefs or non-beliefs.
This latihan experience is very individual and although there is advice and guidance there is no doctrine or study involved. Thousands of people from different cultures and backgrounds practise the latihan today.
In the world’s troubled climate, the process provides a significant opportunity to people of all religions, and also those who do not conform to an established religion, to follow a spiritual path together and in harmony.
